Cottage Rules & Regulations

Rules and Regulations:
Appliances in cottages are not guaranteed. LCR will arrange for any necessary repairs in a timely manner. Occupancy is strictly limited to the number of persons given at the time of reservation. Additional charges and/or termination of your rental may result from non-compliance with this policy. Do not move or re-arrange any furniture. LCR is not responsible for personal items left in cottage.

Check-In/Check-Out:
Check-in is anytime after 3p.m. and Check-out is anytime before 10a.m. (if cleaning has been hired then check-out time is 9a.m.).  Renters will check-in and out at the Welcome Center located at the South Entrance of Lakeside, off Rt. 163.

Rental Dates:
Rental weeks are Saturday-Saturday.  The Chautauqua season is June 21, 2008 - September 1, 2008 (gate fees are charged during this time). Some cottages can be rented, with a 2 night miniumum, before June 7 and after August 28. The only way we MAY be able to rent on a nightly basis in season is a LAST MINUTE RESERVATION!!! Cottage rental in season rates are charged from May 23 - September 1.  Off season rental rates are charged before May 23 and after September 1.

Arrival Deposit:
The arrival deposit is due within fourteen (14) days from the date the reservation was made.

Final Payment:
The final balance due must be paid in full 30 days before your arrival date.

Reservation Fee:
Each reservation made will have a $45.00 reservation fee that is to be paid by the renter.

Cancellation Policy:
Each reservation is secured with an arrival deposit.  Should a renter cancel a reservation 30 days or more prior to arrival they will receive that deposit back, minus a $50.00 handling fee, ONLY if the cottage is re-rented.  If the reservation  is cancelled fewer than 30 days of arrival there will be NO refund of any monies paid.

Returned Checks:
There will be a $35.00 processing fee charged for any returned check of the renter.

Cottage Features:
Kitchen including: stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, pots and pans.
Bedroom including: pillow(s), mattress pad(s), blanket(s), and comforter(s)
Cleaning supplies including: mop, broom, bucket, vacuum sweeper, toilet bowl brush, garbage can (inside and outside)

What to Bring:
Bed linens: sheets and pillowcase(s), (your favorite pillow if you would like)
Towels: bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, kitchen and dish towels
Bathroom toilettres
Paper products: paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, paper plates, cups and bowls
Cleaning products: trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, and a full compliment of cleaning supplies


Cleaning Information:
Renter is required to leave the property in clean and neat condition upon check-out. Please leave cottage clean, undamaged and ready for the next guests. Failure to leave the property in clean condition will result in a cleaning charge to the renter. Cottage cleaning required but not limited to:
Hard floors- swept and mopped
Carpeted areas- vacuumed (including all rugs)
Kitchen- all appliances wiped off, dishes cleaned, dried and put away, counters and stovetops wiped clean, sinks scrubbed, refrigerator, microwave and stove wiped clean inside and out, any food remaining is to be removed
Bathrooms- sinks, bathtubs/showers and toilets are to be scrubbed
Bedrooms- comforters, blankets, mattress pads and pillows must be clean, beds must be re-made  
Dust all areas
Trash- to be removed from the property at the end of your stay. Please take trash to BFI hoppers located on Maple past the Welcome Center. Pick up at the cottage is Monday and Friday mornings, please have trash outside the night before.
Please remember to turn off all fans, window air conditioners, and central air (if any).  Also turn off any appliances such as tv, vcr, dvd, radio, coffee maker, etc.  Close and lock all windows and doors before leaving. 

Hired and Included Cleaning:
Hired cleaning can be arranged, please contact our office for a list of available cleaners. If cleaning is hired or included: renter must wash, dry and put away all kitchenware, remove all trash and take to BFI hoppers located on Maple past the Welcome Center, make beds neatly, put dirty linens in laundry room (if linens are provided). Please leave cottage clean, undamaged, and ready for the next guests. 

Other Info:
No Pets.
No Smoking.
Rental fees subject to change without notice.
Rental rates do not include 9.5% taxes.
Rental rates do not include $45.00 reservation fee.
Rental rates do not include gate fees or auto fees to enter the Lakeside grounds.
