Classic, vintage and collector cars are displayed on the Hotel Lakeside lawn during the Collector Car Show. Car enthusiasts may enter their vehicles (25 years or older) in the show. You can expect to see a wide variety of interesting vehicles.
The Beautification Awards Program honors those who have worked to promote the overall aesthetic appearance of the grounds. Guests and residents are invited to experience these landscapes during our self-guided Garden Tour throughout Lakeside.

Lakeside's waterfront transforms into an outdoor showroom of wooden boats as cruisers line the dock and the Hotel Lakeside lawn at the Lakeside Wooden Boat Show. This classic display pairs with the Lakeside Plein Air Art Festival, a three-day event creating one of the most unique weekends that the Chautauqua season has to offer.
The Lakeside Craft & Art Show features more than 60 exhibitors showcasing their photography, wood carvings, handmade jewelry, painted glass and home décor. This annual event is situated on the front lawn of historic Hotel Lakeside.
The Lakeside Photography Show features entries taken by amateur photographers from Lakeside and the surrounding area. Photos may be viewed a half-hour prior to all evening Hoover Auditorium shows, or on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays in Hoover Auditorium.
Lakeside Summerfest held on the Hotel Lakeside lawn during the summer, features fun for the whole family. The day will kick-off with an all-American cookout and continue with old-fashioned booths, field day games, live music and fun, children's activities.
The Northwestern Ohio Gladiolus Show, which has been held at Lakeside for more than 50 years, is an open entry show held in Hoover Auditorium with many different and unusual gladiolus arrangements on display.
More than 85 dealers display antiques in Wo-Ho-Mis, South Auditorium, Wesley Lodge and the adjacent lawn during the Antique Show. Items offered, include china, glassware, quilts, fine and costume jewelry, sterling, sports memorabilia and much more.
The Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival is a cherished fall tradition that takes place in Lakeside and throughout the Marblehead Peninsula. This free, peninsula-wide event includes a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy.
Purchasing a Daily, Saturday or Season Chautauqua Pass includes admission into Lakeside Chautauqua and all shows in Hoover Auditorium, plus additional benefits. A separate "ticket" is not necessary to attend a Hoover show. As always, children age 12 and under and guests over age 90 are always free. Parking is an additional charge. Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes may be purchased online at tickets.lakesideohio.com or upon entering the gates of Lakeside. Please allow two weeks for online processing.
