Frank O'Dell Arbor Day Picnic

Aug 10, 2017
05:30pm – 08:00pm

Train Station (map)

The 8th Annual Frank O’Dell Arbor Day Picnic, organized by the Lakeside Environmental Stewardship Society (LESS), will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Train Station.

LESS, observing its 14th anniversary this year, is an organization of volunteers whose primary objective is alerting Lakesiders, homeowners and guests alike, to the ever-increasing need for environmental awareness among all who enjoy the beauty of nature and wish to preserve this very special place.

One of the major concerns of LESS is the preservation and replacement of trees, thus the name Arbor Day Picnic for this annual event.

All Lakeside Chautauqua residents and guests are invited to attend.

Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share and their own table service and, in keeping with the purposes of LESS, to bring reusable tableware.

In addition to food, fellowship and an informal sharing of environmental concerns, the program will include a tree quiz, the naming of an Environmental Citizen of the Year and a Tree Walk.

For more information and/or to sign up, contact Susan or Mac Hood at (972) 442-2774.
