From Sept. 19-22, the 2013 Midwest Birding Symposium (MBS) will return to Lakeside Chautauqua. The MBS is a non-profit birding event held every other year in the Midwest.
The symposium will feature programs and performances by North America’s leading bird watchers and naturalists, an opportunity for birders to network with hundreds of fellow enthusiasts, a vendor area with nature products and services, and guided bird walks to the area’s best birding spots.
During the past three decades, bird watching has grown in popularity, with nearly 50 million U.S. residents taking part in this hobby. Meanwhile, the bird-watching and bird-feeding industries have soared to more than $14 billion in annual sales.
Bird Watcher’s Digest, The Ohio Ornithological Society and Lakeside Chautauqua are hosts of the 2013 MBS Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are available.
