The Florida Chautauqua Assembly, located in DeFuniak Springs, Fla., is a recently revived Chautauqua community. It will host a four-day, educational program for families featuring keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions, performance teas, evening dinner performances and exhibits. Over the long weekend, the featured keynote speaker, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, will speak on the significance of Chautauquas in Rural America during the great Chautauqua Movement from 1884-1930. She will also discuss her community’s efforts to revive the Chautauqua assembly, which existed in her hometown of Plains, Ga., in the early 1900s.

All are invited to attend. Registration for a four-day Money-Saving Passport is $125 and includes a welcome party, trolley tour of the campus, all keynote and breakout sessions, scheduled continental breakfasts and lunches, choice of two performance teas and two evening dinner performances.
