Memorial Day Weekend Sailing Race

The Memorial Day Weekend Sailing Race will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 27, weather permitting.

There will be two sailboat classes, 22’ and above and 30’ and above.

This is a displacement boating event. Therefore, boats are required to have keels and a Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) rating.

All participants are to meet at Lakevue Marina, which is located one mile outside the W. Second Street Gate, at 8 a.m. for a skipper’s meeting to determine the course. The race will start promptly at 9 a.m.

Pre-registration is not required, and there is no cost to participate.

Purchasing a Daily, Saturday or Season Chautauqua Pass includes admission into Lakeside Chautauqua and all shows in Hoover Auditorium, plus additional benefits. A separate "ticket" is not necessary to attend a Hoover show. As always, children age 12 and under and guests over age 90 are always free. Parking is an additional charge. Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes may be purchased online at or upon entering the gates of Lakeside. Please allow two weeks for online processing. There are no reserved seats for Hoover shows; seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. Present your Chautauqua Pass upon entering Hoover Auditorium.
