For more than 20 years, the rich tenor voice of Dwight Lenox has captivated audiences around the country. Lenox grew up in New York and sharpened his vocal talent by performing in the church choir and studying country and rock n’ roll. However, his gospel roots, combined with childhood influences, Nancy Wilson, Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughn, made jazz his ultimate passion.
Lenox has impeccable instincts and a mellow sound that garners the attention of the finest musicians in the country. He has performed with Sammy Tucker and renowned organist Hank Marr, and been showcased alongside Freddie Hubbard, Bobbie Humphrys, Ramsey Lewis and Herbie Mann. He is a featured vocalist with the 17-piece Columbus Jazz Orchestra and shares the stage with Harold Jones and Carmen Bradford.
He has a vast repertoire of music from Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, James Ingram, Stevie Wonder, Lou Rawls and many more. His unique abilities are noticed in his performances of original music. Lenox performs at galas, fundraisers, private parties and clubs allowing anyone to hear the gifted vocals that floor audiences.
