Neos Dance Theatre is comprised of diverse individuals sharing a common goal of creating an atmospheric, theatrical energy on the stage. Their show is designed to entertain across generations and is comprised of recognizable works. They will perform “Slaughter on 10th Avenue,” which is inspired by the 1940s movie, “The Boys from Syracuse” and has jazz overtones. They will also perform “Coffee Talk,” a spoof of everyday office life, and “Nuevo,” which features five Mexican folk and pop songs.

The group has committed its repertoire to eclecticism. Artistic Director Robert Wesner choreographs most of the repertoire in collaboration with the group’s dancers, whose resumes include works by George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor, Dwight Rhoden, Paul Taylor, Kurt Josse and many more. Their training is extensive, including the Milwaukee Ballet, the School of the Cleveland Ballet, School of Ballet Arizona, Chautauqua Summer Festival, Point Park, Kent State University, Ballet Magnificat! and others.

Neos Dance Theatre has collaborated for more than a decade with maestro Robert Moody for various symphony orchestras, including Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Cleveland Pops and Ashland Symphony Orchestra. Currently, the group is working with the famed Grammy award-winning singer Sylvia McNair at Ashland University with Ashland Regional Ballet.
