The younger members of your family will enjoy endless activities every single day. We offer sailing and swimming lessons, Sunfish sailboat rentals and races, a sandy beach, miniature golf, crafts, story hours, bike parades, a triathlon, playground, children's pool, tennis, basketball, youth dances, sing-a-longs and our very own God Squad.
The God Squad
Bradley Temple is home to the God Squad sessions which are led by the Richter Family and are centered around song, crafts and object lessons to help build strong character. Sessions are split into two age groups, 4-6 at 9 a.m. and 7-9 at 10 a.m. Classes meet Tuesday-Thursday during the Chautauqua season.
Ring and Sing and Fun with Music
Music is the language sung around the world, and especially here in Lakeside. "Fun with Music" and "Ring and Sing" offer two classes daily Tuesday-Friday. Classes are split into two age groups, 4-8 year olds and childen over the age of 8. Classes meet at Bradley Temple. Everyone is introduced to music theory through diverse musical literature appropriate to their developmental level. The Friday program is a chance for family and friends to attend and observe a live concert.
Middle Grade Ministry
MGM, under the dynamic leadership of John and Bonnie Wilkie, is a time for middle school youth to enjoy times of fellowship, activity-based learning and fun. The Middle Grade Ministry Program will be offered Monday-Friday from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the Upper Room.
Teen Ministry
Lakeside Youth Fellowship is geared to teens. Classes include discussion groups, recreational events, dances and get-acquainted activities. Bring some old friends and make some new ones. Look for a complete listing of the activities in the weekly Lakesider newspaper. Times will vary from week to week depending on the activity scheduled.
Nature Program
This is an opportunity to explore, enjoy and care for God's creation at Lakeside. On Mondays there will be walks on our nature trails observing the beauty and wonder of the natural world with hands-on instruction varying weekly featuring trees, flowers, garden and shore birds, insects, butterflies and moths, mayflies, fish, bats, squirrels, weather and environmental concerns. Patrick Quackenbush, a naturalist with the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources, is offering guidance. Thelma Tucker, LESS and other Lakesiders will lead the sessions. The Nature Programs will be offered Monday mornings from 9 - 11:30a.m. Children ages 3 1/2 - 6 years must be accompanied by an adult.
