Chautauqua Park, located east of South Poplar Avenue, will seamlessly weave together the four pillars of Chautauqua - religion, education, cultural arts and recreation.
The first official phase will be to create a living memorial garden this summer. The formal garden will be a final resting place for the cremated remains of loved ones.
In addition to the memorial garden, Lakeside Chautauqua would like to extend the current nature/walking trail through Chautauqua Park with your continued support to the Lakeside Fund before March 31, 2013.
Lakesiders, young and old, have been walking the perimeter of Lakeside for decades. The trail extension would connect the 10 acres of wooded land so guests can experience the entire park.
By extending the trail, Lakeside Chautauqua is continuing to support active lifestyles, improve the health of individuals and strengthen the social fabric of the community. Not only does the nature/walking trail support recreation, it will also enhances religious, cultural arts and educational programming.
We hope you are inspired to give a first-time or additional gift of $250 or more to the Lakeside Fund before March 31, 2013. Your financial support to the Lakeside Fund in February and March will enable Lakeside to extend the nature/walking trail throughout Chautauqua Park.
