Lakeside Women's Club (LWC)

The Lakeside Women’s Club at Green Gables has been an integral and vital part of the Lakeside experience since 1928. In an earlier time of limited opportunities for women, LWC provided a setting for intellectual discovery of current events, culture, science, religion and the arts. It is our intention to remain faithful to this mission.

In addition to the weekly activities listed below, the LWC offers a Quilt Show (June 18-July 9 in Hoover Auditorium Lobby), Cottage Tour (July 28) and a Used Book Sale (August 7). All activities take place at Green Gables Cottage (161 Walnut Avenue), unless otherwise noted. Review the weekly Lakesider newspaper for details about topics and speakers for Tuesday programs and Friday book reviews. We welcome women of all ages, and men too.
