There are a variety of worship celebrations each Sunday at Lakeside. Some are more casual than others, and all offer a wonderful spiritual experience to all who participate.
8:30 am, East Pavilion Deck
Enjoy a more relaxed Sunday worship service at the water's edge. These services are held outdoors, come rain or shine.
9 am, Lakeside United Methodist Church
This more traditional church setting offers a vibrant style of worship using drama, inspirational song and motivational words. Rev. Jerry Phelps regularly leads Sunday services. Childcare is available at the Lakeside United Methodist Church at 8:45 am and at 10:30 am during the Hoover Community Worship.
10:30 am, Hoover Auditorium
Hoover Community Worship services provide a casual setting at Lakeside's largest indoor meeting space. A variety of spiritual leaders from differing faiths offer spiritual renewal, insightful and thought-provoking celebrations for all who attend. The Children's Church meets at Hoover Auditorium at 10:30 am, then proceeds to Bradley Temple.
At this Lakeside community we work together diligently to help one another experience this magnificent Chautauqua season with days of rest and family renewal. God reminds us that as stewards we share our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness to our communities at home or in Lakeside. Your giving will strengthen the vision and outreach of the Lakeside community both materially and spiritually. Generous financial gifts offered to Lakeside by check should be made payable to the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, 236 Walnut Avenue, Lakeside, OH 43440.
Each summer, generous Lakesiders sponsor flowers for the altar at the Sunday morning Hoover Community Worship Service. There are 14 Hoover Community Worship Services for the 2012 summer season. Arrangements may be given in memory of a loved one, or in honor of a person, event or group. To sponsor flowers for the altar, contact Carolyn Beears at cbeears@lakesideohio.com. Sponsorships total $75 per Sunday morning Hoover Worship Service. Donations offered by check towards floral sponsorships should be made payable to the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation.
Childcare is available from 8:45-11:45 am at the Lakeside United Methodist Church at Central Avenue and Fifth Street for parents attending the church services.
