There are a variety of worship celebrations each Sunday at Lakeside. Some are more casual than others, but all offer a wonderful spiritual experience to all who participate.

Dockside Worship

8:30 a.m. Sunday
East Pavilion Deck

Enjoy a relaxed Sunday worship service at the water's edge. These services are held outdoors, come rain or shine.

Lakeside United Methodist Church Worship

9 a.m. Sunday
Lakeside United Methodist Church

This traditional church setting offers a vibrant style of worship using inspirational song and motivational words. The Rev. Vernon Shepherd regularly leads these Sunday services. Childcare is available at the Lakeside United Methodist Church from 8:45-11:45 a.m. for parents attending church services.

Hoover Community Worship

10:30 a.m. Sunday
Hoover Auditorium

Hoover Community Worship Services provide a casual setting at Lakeside's largest indoor meeting space. A variety of spiritual leaders from differing faiths offer spiritual renewal, insightful and thought-provoking celebrations for all who attend. Children's Church meets at Hoover Auditorium at 10:30 a.m., then proceeds to Bradley Temple.

Sunset Vespers by the Lake

8:30 p.m. Sunday
West Pavilion Deck

This sunset service along the lake is led by the warm presence of Bonnie and John Wilke, leaders of the Middle Grade Madness program. Gathering music starts at 8:15 p.m. The service ends at 9 p.m.

Vespers by the Lake

7:15 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday
Steele Memorial Bandstand (Gazebo)

Vespers by the Lake offers an end of the day worship experience. The Preacher of the Week provides the message on Tuesday, while Thursday features a reflection on the Psalms and the Eucharist is celebrated. Read the Lakesider newspaper for more information.

At Lakeside we work together to help one another experience this magnificent summer season with days of rest and family renewal. God reminds us that, as stewards, we share our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness to our communities at home or in Lakeside.

Church Pass

A complimentary Church Pass may be obtained between 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday; valid until 3 p.m. The pass includes admittance for guests and auto.

Faith for Living Hour Pass

A complimentary Faith for Living Hour Pass may be obtained between 8:30-9:15 a.m. Monday-Thursday; valid until 1:30 p.m. This pass includes admittance for guests and auto.
