The market is stocked with basic essentials, including bread, butter, milk, eggs, produce, toiletries and cleaning supplies, among other traveling necessities. Signature specialties are fresh cut steaks and chops, homemade pies (strawberry, peanut butter, blueberry), strawberry jam and homemade cinnamon rolls. A deli counter features sliced meat and cheese and salads.

Artists-N-Cahoots is the place to find original artwork and high-quality, handcrafted items produced by artists who volunteer to teach classes at the C. Kirk Rhein, Jr., Center for the Living Arts. Open daily.

Joseph Wise Fine Clocks features a variety of grandfather, wall, mantel, cuckoo and anniversary clocks. Store includes unique watches, home décor, baby room and women’s unique clothing, such as FLAX and Fresh Produce. Antique clock and watch restorations are available. Open daily during the summer. Open on weekends during the fall.

Lakeside Farmers' Market

Location:  Pedestrian Walkway on Walnut Ave. in Business District)
Open from 9 am-12 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays during summer season 

Lakeside's Farmers' Market began in 2008. The Farmers' Market has expanded to two days each week, to help us all eat more heathfully and decrease our carbon footprints by buying fresh produce within the Lakeside community. 

Locally-grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, jams and tea are available for purchase on Walnut Avenue from 9 am-12 pm on Tuesday and Friday during the summer.

The Lakeside Landing offers everything needed for a day at the beach/dock, including candy, drinks, snacks, books, rafts/water toys, sunscreen, bait and other vacation souvenirs. Open daily, 9 am-5 pm on Monday-Saturday and 12-5 pm on Sunday. Open seasonally, Memorial Day – Labor Day.

Sypherd’s Cycles & Rental Center offers golf carts and bikes, rentals, repairs and sales. They also rent handicap scooters, wheelchairs, TV/DVD, strollers, baby cribs and more. Sypherd’s stocks and sells all bike parts and accessories. Night Crawlers and fishing supplies are available.  Open daily, 9 am-8 pm. The Fine Print

The Fine Print bookstore offers a wide range of books for both adults and youth. It features books chosen by several Lakeside book clubs and book review groups, as well as books related to Lakeside's weekly educational themes. A section of children's toys is also available.

A new pre-school story hour will be held at the bookstore at 4 p.m. on Thursdays. The young readers program will also be available to Lakesiders at the end of June. Both programs will be in conjunction with Lakeside’s “Where in the World?” children’s program.


The Shade Tree
