6:00pm-7:00pm
Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo

Long Time Gone is a band that features the music of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young. More than just a cover band, the group also delves into all the music that has involved these four legendary songwriters to include The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies and more.

Long Time Gone personifies the sound and feel of an era in American music that may never be seen again and truly satisfies any audiences, whether they’re diehard fans or just being newly introduced.

Band members include Steven Forrest Sanders (guitars and vocals), Ron Jarvis (bass and vocals), Mike Sampsel (keyboards, guitar and vocals) and Scott Velardo (drums and percussion).

Forrest Sanders has been a mainstay of the Northeast Ohio music scene since the 1960s when he, with brothers Russ and Larry, were The Lime, an Akron-based band with national releases “Love a Go Go” and “Beautiful Day.”

He recorded with Seattle-based band The Clique, who had the single “Sugar on Sunday” in the 1970s and was also a founding member of CSNY tribute band Ohio, entertaining audiences in the region for the more than 15 years.

Jarvis has been featured in both live performances and dozens of record releases with many regional acts, including The Buckeye Biscuit Band, Ital Reggae Band, First Light, Alex Bevan, Pat Dailey and Macaw, to name a few.

Sampsel has been on the Northeast Ohio music scene since the early 1970s, performing live and doing session work, most recently with Phil ‘n the Blanks, Zydeco Jones and The Wanda Hunt Band.

Velardo has performed in the region for more than 30 years, most recently with Macaw, Redneck Inc., KB and the Riptides, Tim Coyne Jazz Quartet and the Akron University Steel Drum Band.
