Family Night in the Park: Jerry Popiel

Jerry Popiel is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, mandolinist, bassist, keyboardist and percussionist.

He performs regularly as an acoustic guitarist and singer, but sometimes with backing band Osage Orange. Popiel is also a member of Indie rock band Cat o' Nines and the 1970s tribute band Cowbell Fever, co-starring as mellow, long-haired guitarist Donny Europa.

He has performed as an opening act for musicians such as Leon Russell, Sister Hazel, The Fixx and Ambrosia, as well as Blossom Music Center VIP Club entertainment before James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Counting Crows, Matchbox 20, Dierks Bentley and the Zac Brown Band.

As an actor, Popiel also appeared in the 2016 Fox Searchlight film "A Bigger Splash" with Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson.

In addition to being a musician and an actor, Popiel is a search and rescue specialist, sourdough bread baker, Appalachian Trail section hiker, ultra-runner, the youngest of 11 children and a father of five.


Admission & Parking

Purchasing a Daily, Saturday or Season Chautauqua Pass includes admission to Lakeside Chautauqua and all shows in Hoover Auditorium, plus additional benefits. A separate ‘ticket’ is not necessary to attend a show or concert. As always, kids age 12 & under and guests over age 90 are always free. Parking is an additional fee. Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes may be purchased online at tickets.lakesideohio.com or upon entering the gates of Lakeside. Please allow two weeks for online processing. Seats for shows and concerts are not reserved, but available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please present your Chautauqua Pass upon entering and exiting Hoover Auditorium and the Lakeside Chautauqua gates.
