Irish-born Ciarán Sheehan is an acclaimed actor, singer and voice healer whose performances are known to “warm the heart and touch the soul.” The quality of his voice and his knack for capturing the audience is what makes him a beloved and remarkable performer.

His recent projects include his shows "Ciarán - An Evening with Friends" and "Awaken," in addition to "Broadway & Beyond," which he will share with Lakesiders. He's also working on original music for his next album and drafting the early stages of an autobiography.

Among his many notable performances, what stands out is his role as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera for more than 1,000 shows on Broadway and in Toronto.

Sheehan’s career began with a high school rock band and then a heavy metal rock band during college that toured parts of the U.S.

After a near-death car accident at age 20, Sheehan reflected on developing his talents and grew his interest in acting. He went on to study acting professionally and ended up working with Broadway actors and directors before making his debut as Babet in Les Miserables.

Next was his Phantom role, which then opened the door to many other New York stage performances, including appearances with The Irish Repertory Theatre Company.

As a producer, Sheehan created sold-out productions of The Molly Maguires, and he has three PBS specials under his belt, including “The Irish … and how they got that way,” “From Galway to Broadway” and “Ciarán – An Evening with Friends.”

After intently focusing on acting for a period of time, Sheehan re-emerged as a singing sensation and has performed many memorable solo engagements, including four sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall, performing the American National Anthem at Giants Stadium for an internationally-televised memorial mass for John and Carolyn Kennedy, Jr., and singing at the funeral service for Beau Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden.

Aside from all of his professional achievements, Sheehan considers his greatest mission as using his voice to assist others in their journeys of discovery and healing. As a voice healer, he uses the power of music, meditation and storytelling to help transform the lives of anyone who can hear him, particularly survivors of abuse. He finds great joy in this spiritual dimension of his work and feels privileged to use his talents to impact the lives of others in a healing way.

Sheehan will be joined by friends Sarah Pfisterer (vocals), Heather Bixler (violin) and Sue Anderson (piano) for his show in Hoover Auditorium.

Pfisterer is one of Broadway's most esteemed leading ladies, having starred as Christine Daae in more than 1,000 performances of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, as well as an acclaimed portrayal of Magnolia in Showboat!

Bixler is a classical violinist and Irish fiddler whose playing has been described by critics as "emotionally riveting" and "astonishingly musical and sweet." A graduate of Indiana University and The Julliard School, she has performed in many major concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall in New York City and Musikverein in Vienna.

Anderson's career has been full and varied, ranging from Broadway productions and films, to recordings. As a conductor and musical director, Anderson has worked with the Broadway and national touring companies of Pirates of Penzance, Me & My Girl and Cats. She played in orchestra pits of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Woman in White, and is currently playing in Spamalot.
