Family Night in the Park: Rick Kelley

 Sunday, July 29, 2018
6:00pm-7:00pm
Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo

As an award-winning entertainer, Rick Kelley masterfully blends comedy and music, presenting a powerful performance that's uplifting, motivational and energetic.

Labeled “The Ultimate Icebreaker,” Kelley has been described as “having the magic of totally engaging any audience.” He uses retro Motown classics, R&B standards, customized songs and original children’s songs in each show with the perfect amount of audience participation.

He has earned numerous awards, including Best Small Concert, Best Male Performer and Best Solo Performer by CAT magazine and National Association of Campus Activities’ (NACA) Family & Children’s Program of the Year.

Kelley’s original compositions have been heard on Showtime’s hit series “Red Show Diaries.” He has recorded eight independently-released albums and composed soundtracks for numerous documentaries and short subject films.

He has also played more than 3,500 events across the U.S. This vast experience has given Kelley the unique ability to spontaneously customize every performance to fit any and every age group, theme or need.

In 2006, in response to Hurricane Katrina, he started a non-profit organization called ‘Music with a Message for Kids, Inc.’ where he provided more than 250 free programs to children in need in eight different states.
