As a part of their six-day, nine-concert summer tour, the Cardinal Chorale will perform at the Lakeside United Methodist Church (UMC) at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 18.

The Chorale's 75-minute program will feature selections from their 2016 show "Seize the Day" and their 2017 show "Give Us Hope." The performance will include sacred selections, spirituals, show tunes, folk and patriot songs, and a tribute to Fred Waring.

Organized in 1995 by director Charles R. Snyder, the Cardinal Chorale is a select 48-voice traveling ensemble of high school and college singers. In its 20-year history, the Chorale has been invited to sing for a number of professional conferences and has performed on the campuses of Capital University, Muskingum University, Kent State University, Ohio University and Penn State University. In 1998, the Chorale shared its talents on a tour in England, France and Wales.

The Chorale started their annual summer tours after being invited to perform in Lakeside in 2000. Since then, the Chorale has performed in Hoover Auditorium in 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2013. The Chorale's last visit to Lakeside was in 2015 at the Lakeside UMC, which was welcomed with laughter, smiles, tears and full hearts.

If you would like to financially support the Chorale’s mission as “choral ambassadors of hope,” please contact their office at (740) 623-0554.
