Around the World Adventures Storytelling Program

 Saturday, May 25, 2019
1:00pm-2:00pm
Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo

Join international storyteller Lindsay Bonilla for interactive folktales from around the world.

Bonilla uses a unique blend of storytelling, theatre and creative drama to ensure that audiences of all ages become active participants and co-creators of every performance, leading to an unforgettable story experience. There will be an opportunity to make crafts related to the stories at the end of the program.

Bonilla fell in love with folktales and world travel as a theatre major at Northwestern University. She started World of Difference Ltd., where she performs interactive folktales while teaching about foreign countries and cultures, inspiring imagination and promoting a love for learning and literacy.

Before establishing her own company, she performed and taught locally for Magical Theatre Company and Malone University. She also spent a year and a half in touring Spain and Portugal with Interacting, an audience-participatory theatre company that uses interactive performances to teach English to audiences.

Bonilla is a published author of children’s stories. Her most recent book, Polar Bear Island, won the 2018 Parent’s Choice Silver Award.

She believes that “every story makes a world of difference” and brings this belief and approach to every performance and project.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be moved to Chautauqua Hall and the Fountain Inn Aigler Room.
