Jingle Jump

 Saturday, December 7, 2019
12:00pm-1:00pm
Pavilion & Beach

Take a winter leap into the lake for Lakeside’s Jingle Jump at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

Those who consider themselves warm-blooded, brave-of-heart and in generally good health are invited to take a chilly "jump" into Lake Erie from the beach. Those who would rather stay warm and dry are invited to stop by the event for candid photos, enthusiastic encouragement of the brave lake-jumping souls and help kick off an exciting start to the festivities of "A Lakeside Christmas."

Participants:

There’s no fee to participate, but we invite all participants (individuals and teams) to make a donation to the Lakeside Annual Fund in support of the lakefront. We also encourage you to ask family and friends to make donations on your behalf as you immerse yourself into the near-freezing waters.

Check-in and onsite registration begin at 11:30 a.m. near the Pavilion/beach. There will be hot beverages available to keep participants and spectators warm while they wait for the jump, which begins at 12 p.m.

Rooms on the first floor of the Fountain Inn will be available for participants to change into dry clothes following the event. We recommend having your onsite emergency contact transport you from the Pavilion to the Fountain Inn as transportation will not be provided. There will be reserved parking spaces in Pavilion Circle for Jingle Jump participants and their emergency contacts.

We encourage you and your supporters to have fun and come festively dressed for your jump. Awards will be given to:

  • Best Dressed Jumper
  • Jumper with the Most Team Spirit
  • Most Festive Jumper
  • Most Money Raised by an Individual or Team

Spectators:

Spectators are also invited to join the fun by cheering on participants, enjoying hot beverages, taking photos and making donations without getting wet! All donations given through this event will go to the Lakeside Annual Fund, which provides essential day-to-day support for the Chautauqua program, historic buildings and beautiful gardens.

All are encouraged to join in the other fun activities of "A Lakeside Christmas" during the weekend, including purchasing tickets to the annual Community Christmas Dinner.

While this is a fun and exciting event, Lakeside takes the safety of the participants and spectators seriously. Lifeguards and EMS personnel will be present to ensure everyone remains healthy and safe. All participants are required to sign a waiver before jumping (see below).

Registration

Participants must complete a registration form and waiver before making the jump.

Online registration has closed. All are still welcome to participate. On-site registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Lakeside Pavilion.

There’s no fee to participate, but we invite all participants (individuals and teams) to make a donation to the Lakeside Annual Fund in support of the lakefront. We also encourage family and friends to make donations on your behalf as you immerse yourself into the near-freezing waters.
