Family Entertainment Series: Mutts Gone Nuts

 Wednesday, June 26, 2019
7:30pm-9:00pm
Hoover Auditorium

Lakeside’s Family Entertainment Series, held on select Wednesdays throughout the summer, is geared especially toward families and begins at 7:30 p.m. This week's show features a pack of talented pooches that will unleash havoc and hilarity in Hoover Auditorium.

Expect the unexpected as Mutts Gone Nuts performs high-flying Frisbee tricks, tight-wire walking, dancing, magic and introduces Sammie the Talking Dog. This comedy thrill show also promotes the adoption of rescue animals, featuring four-legged performers that have been adopted from shelters or rescue groups by Scott and Joan Houghton.

Since 1985, the Houghtons have brought their unique blend of physical comedy and circus arts to audiences from Las Vegas to Tokyo. They spent three years with country star Lee Greenwood at his theater in Tennessee and seven years as the featured comedy act at Dolly Parton’s Theaters in Branson, Orlando and Myrtle Beach. Now, the comedy duo travels across the country with their famous show, entertaining children of all ages.

In addition to the Family Entertainment Series program at 7:30 p.m., Mutts Gone Nuts will lead a special presentation, Practice Makes Perfect, at 3 p.m. in Hoover Auditorium about teamwork with the rescue animals. Please note: pets are not permitted in Hoover Auditorium for either show.
