Family Night in the Park: Mama Caught Fire

 Sunday, June 16, 2019
6:00pm-7:30pm
Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo

Hailing from Minneapolis, Mama Caught Fire is an all-female trio whose music explores intricate harmony, emotional storytelling and the power of the voice.

Band members Abigail Tuominen (guitar and vocals), Molly Sowash (guitar and vocals) and Julia Hobart (ukulele, piano and vocals) met as students at Macalester College in 2013, where they discovered their shared love of folk music. All three write for the group, which performs around the Twin Cities.

They recently released their first full-length album, Listen as She Speaks, which reflects on the mother-daughter relationship, losing loved ones and healing through song.
