Under the Streetlamp brings their unique blend of harmonies and slick dance moves to Lakeside for a night of electrifying music.

Established in 2009 by members of the Chicago company of the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys, this fraternity of gifted performers breathes new life into your favorite doo wop, Motown and old time rock & roll hits.

After their run with Jersey Boys in 2010, the founding members spent the next year cultivating their brand, always with the motto to stand on the shoulders of artists that created classic hits from the 1950-1970s.

Playing sold-out shows in Chicagoland, the group caught the eye of a local producer who believed their nostalgic rebirth of retro rock & roll could have a home on PBS. He was right, and their first PBS special, “Under the Streetlamp, LIVE!,” became an instant hit.

In between playing national and international tours, the group aired two more PBS specials, “Under the Streetlamp, Let the Good Times Roll” and “Under the Streetlamp, Rockin’ Around the Clock,” to rave reviews.

By 2016, the quartet made their pops symphony debut with the Desert Symphony in California. Since then, they’ve performed with the Phoenix Symphony, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Knoxville Symphony and Detroit Symphony, to name a few.

Also in 2016, Under the Streetlamp began talks with Media Vision about collaborating on a new public television program. The exciting two-part docuseries, known as “Harmonies for Healing,” centered on a singing competition.

Mentored by Under the Streetlamp, singers of all ages, genders, backgrounds and ethnicities battled for a chance to perform in concert with the quartet. This moving, musical event was built on the premise that music has a healing power that can be tapped into when faced with life’s ups and downs.

Over the years, Streetlamp has been able to keep a fresh vibe with new twists. Their mission has always been to breathe new life into timeless songs, to excite audiences and ensure everyone leaves with a smile or sings along when hearing their music.

With irresistible charm and rapport of a modern day Rat Pack, Under the Streetlamp proves why retro never sounded so good.
