Faith for Living Hour

 Wednesday, July 29, 2020
9:00am-10:00am
Repeats
Steele Memorial Bandstand & Virtual

Faith for Living Hour will be a hybrid experience, presented onsite at the Steele Memorial Bandstand, as well as recorded and uploaded later that day below and to Lakeside's official YouTube page.

While some seating is provided in Bettinger Park, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets, wear masks and practice safe social distancing. In the case of inclement weather, Faith for Living Hour will be livestreamed at 9 a.m. below and to Lakeside's official YouTube page with no in-person audience.

The Fr. Michael A. Renninger’s theme for the week is “Dining in the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus loved to eat! He loved to gather people around the table where he taught them and inspired them to hope. While Christians often focus their attention on the Last Supper, we are enriched when we explore some of the Other Suppers we hear about in the Gospels.

Jesus was teaching us many things as he broke bread with people. By coming to a deeper appreciation of the meals which Jesus shared, perhaps we can come to a deeper appreciation of the meals we share, and the people who sit with us at the tables of our lives.

  • Monday: “You Share My Bread, You’re Part of the Family”
  • Tuesday: “Jesus & the Original ‘Wonder Bread’”
  • Wednesday: “The Secret Soup & the Sacred Memory”
  • Thursday: “The Table & the Towel”

A complimentary Faith for Living Hour Pass is available between 8:30-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday; valid until 1 p.m. This pass includes admittance to Lakeside for guests and auto. If the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure. Ask a Gate Attendant for details.
