VIRTUAL: Lakeside Heritage Society Facebook Page

In this virtual lecture, LHS Manager of Operations Evan Engelhart will discuss the emergence of the Chautauqua Movement, a 19th and 20th century cultural phenomenon that swept the nation. Originating in western New York in the 1870s, the Movement and its leaders, Rev. J.H. Vincent and Lewis Miller, soon became household names. He will also review the important figures who helped Lakeside Chautauqua join the movement and provides information about the remaining organizations on the national Chautauqua Trail.
