Virtual: Zoom

In this two-part Wellness Seminar, Ray Johnson and Barry Kroeger of HSBC Bank will help you better understand components of effective money management: budgeting, credit and identity theft.

Learn steps to achieve your financial dreams (budgeting) by setting financial goals and assessing your current situation, creating a spending plan and paying off debt. Understanding how to build credit and how to use it wisely can help you achieve many important financial and life goals. In this seminar, you’ll also learn about what credit it is, what it’s used for, how to build it and why it’s important. Finally, Johnson and Kroeger will identify steps to protect yourself from identity theft.

Johnson is Vice President of Corporate Sustainability in the United States for HSBC Bank. For more than 35 years, Johnson has served in various roles at the bank, including sales, mortgage underwriting, collections, customer service, marketing, operations and, since 2009, corporate sustainability.

In his current position, Johnson is responsible for U.S. corporate sustainability and community investment strategies primarily focused on future skills (employability and financial literacy) programs.

Kroeger is an experienced financial executive with more than 40 years of experience. He spent the majority of his career at Ernst & Young from which he retired as a Senior Partner in 2014. He presently serves as a Non-Executive Director of HSBC North America Holdings, Inc and is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio.
