Chautauqua Lecture: The In's and Out's of Stage Production

 Wednesday, August 4, 2021
10:30am-12:00pm
Orchestra Hall

Before the audience sees a Broadway show live in the theatre, there are many hours behind the scenes to make this dream a reality. After a script is written and musical score is complete, there is a production team created that makes someone’s work of art from paper into reality for the viewer. The artistic and production teams have many different people involved. All of these aspects get combined into creating the Broadway show on the stage. Long time Stage Tech & Lighting Director Tim Kostel will explain the inner workings of the different backstage jobs and how they all work to make the live show happen.
