Chautauqua Lecture: What is Climate Change?

What is Climate Change? This lecture will discuss 200 years of climate science and what we see happening now. Projections into the future are more frightening but give us warning about what we need to do. We will discuss what we see of the impact to Lakeside and to other cities in our world. And we will briefly look at Bill Gates’ book about all the things we need to for the future.

Bill Smith, Presenter

Bill has been coming to Lakeside since his age was in high single digits. They purchased their Lakeside home in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute and a MS Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron. He spent 41 years with the Babcock & Wilcox Company working with boilers for large utility plants and pulp & paper plants. He retired as Chief Engineer of the Fossil Power Division. Bill has been studying Climate Change science for around three decades.
