One of the most awarded female vocalists in Christian music history, Sandi Patty will return to the Hoover Auditorium stage.

Patty was first introduced to the music scene with a performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” during the 1986 rededication of the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

Since then, she has performed at the Indianapolis 500, the Dedication of Camp David Chapel, with the National Symphony and on ABC’s Fourth of July Special.

With overnight success, Patty has become one of the world’s most well-known singers, simply known as “The Voice.”

Throughout her three-decade career, Patty has released more than 30 albums, earning three platinum records, five gold records and more than 11 million units sold.

As one of the most highly-acclaimed performers, she has won five Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and 40 Dove Awards, the most of any female artist.

Her most recent album, Everlasting, was released exclusively to Target stores in 2013 and features acoustic versions of notable hymns and worship songs.

She also released her first full symphonic pops album, Broadway Stories, under the conduction of Maestro Jack Everly in 2011.

In 2004, Patty was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

In recent years, she has expanded her music outside of the gospel genre. Patty had the pleasure of performing with symphonies across the country, including the New York Pops, Cincinnati Pops, Dallas Symphony, Baltimore Symphony and Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Recently, she headlined the role of Dolly in the sold-out musical performances of Hello, Dolly! and served as host of the Yuletide Celebration.

Patty, who is also an accomplished author, has published seven written works, including one cookbook, Around the Table with Sandi Patty: Faith, Family & Food. Her best-selling novel, Broken on the Back Row, received the 2006 Silver Angel Award.

“I am grateful for the many opportunities God has given in my life and for how He has allowed me to spread my wings,” says Patty. “Singing is my way to tell my story of hope, life and love.”

Patty and her husband, Don, have eight children and currently reside in Oklahoma City.
