The August Cup

Posted on July 20, 2009

The August Cup (pronounced "aw-gust," meaning inspiring great respect) will take place Saturday, July 25th.  This event is a race for all keel boats 22 feet or larger.  The race is usually a triangular course incorporating the South Passage buoy, depending on wind conditions. All participants should meet at Lakevue Marina (1 mile outside the West gate) at 8:30 a.m. for a skippers' meeting, where the course will be determined.  The race will start at 9 a.m.  There is no pre-registration and no cost to participate.
