Candlelight Showcase Benefits Symphony

Posted on August 04, 2010

The 22nd Annual Lakeside Candlelight Symphony Showcase will be held from 8-10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9 to raise funds for the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO). Ticket holders will enjoy a unique evening home tour through the streets of Lakeside with candlelit paths to each home which will feature a small symphonic ensemble.

This year, the event features four Lakeside cottages, including the homes of Mark and Suzanne Carle; Kurt Geisheimer; The Rev. Irwin and Janet Jennings; and Evening Song Cottage Bed & Breakfast with proprietors Gary and Carole Pierce. The tour will end with a reception at Lakeside's featured location, the Hotel Lakeside Dining Room and Café. Limited tickets are available at the Hoover Ticket Office, at 419-798-4461, ext. 265,  for $35.

The LSO, established in 1963, is one of Lakeside's most cherished organizations. The eight performances it produces each summer remain a long-standing tradition for guests and residents. In order to sustain this tradition, the Lakeside Association invests close to $120,000 annually.
