Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival Recap

The 16th Annual Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival was an overall success, thanks to the sunshine, warm weather, dedicated volunteers and entertaining schedule of events. Lakeside welcomed an estimated 5,000+ visitors to grounds for the one-day event. Lakeside would like to thank the 50 volunteers who made this year’s festival possible.

There were 71 entrants in the annual Pie Contest, which raised more than $625 to support next year’s festival. Congratulations to the following 2011 Pie Contest winners:

  • Best Overall Pie: Marcia Ramsey - “Autumn Apple”
  • Most Unique Recipe: Joan Miano - “Green Tomato/Raisin”
  • Best Pie Baked by a Female: Chris Matea - “Seven-Layer Banana”
  • Best Pie Baked by a Male: Ron McCauley - “Pumpkin”
  • Best Pie Baked by a Youth: Erin Van Cleave - “Steve Jobs Apple"
