Lakeside Welcomes New Director of Educational Programs

Jeanne Mauriocourt joins the Lakeside Association staff as the Director of Educational Programs. Originally from Western Pennsylvania, she grew up working at her family’s business, O’Neill Coffee Company. Mauriocourt holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Penn., and a master’s degree in counseling from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.

Shirley Stary, V.P. of Programming explains, “We are thrilled to have Jeanne join Lakeside’s Programming Staff. Jeanne understands the higher education arena and will be able to utilize her connections with university and college professors for new seminar topics and presenters.”

Mauriocourt has worked as an independent resume writer for multiple resume writing companies for almost four years. She is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and Certified Job and Career Transition Coach.

Pervious to her work as a resume writer, she spent more than 15 years as a career counselor at colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Ohio. Her most recent position was at Ashland University as the Associate Director of Career Development where she assisted students with the career decision, internship, employment and graduate school processes.

She said, “"I am excited to meet the people of Lakeside and implement the wonderful educational program already established for 2011, while also looking forward to planning the 2012 season." 

During the summer season, Mauriocourt will reside in Lakeside with her husband, Flory, a high school English teacher, and their daughters, Sarah (3) and Samantha (2). She and her family reside permanently in Ashland, Ohio.
