Posted on May 07, 2011

More than 75 dedicated Lakesiders of all ages participated in the 6th Annual Spring Cleanup Day on April 30. Projects included work in the following facilities: Orchestra Hall, Rhein Center, Hilltop House/Annex, Cabins, gate houses, playgrounds, greenhouse, lunch prep and administration project.

Special thanks to the many volunteers who dedicated more than 225 hours to make Spring Cleanup Day a success.

If you are interested in volunteering at Lakeside this summer, visit the Lakeside Volunteer Fair from 12-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 on Walnut Avenue. This free Volunteer Fair has been organized to inspire volunteerism with the many organizations and groups at Lakeside. The fair will allow volunteer groups and organizations to set up as exhibitors. Each volunteer organization will have a booth with two representatives and information to collect. For perspective volunteers, this is a great way to explore the many volunteer opportunities at Lakeside. To register your group as an exhibitor, read the guidelines.
