Volunteer to Host a Chautauqua Network Attendee in Your Cottage

Posted on June 26, 2012

Homestays are a tradition of the Chautauqua Network, providing a bed, good conversation and perhaps refreshments to overnight guests. These personal visits allow attendees to experience the Chautauqua community through the hospitality of gracious homeowners.

We invite Lakeside homeowners to voluntarily host Chautauqua Network Annual meeting attendees throughout the four-day event, July 21-24, 2012.

Homestay arrangements include a private bedroom with guest-only bathroom or private bedroom with shared bathroom with hosts, with no rental fee.

Hosts can indicate how many attendees can be accommodated in their cottage. Attendees will be provided meals as part of the registration fee; therefore, hosts are not required to plan and prepare entire meals. Linens and towels are to be provided by the host.

Attendees will arrive on Friday, July 20 or Saturday, July 21 and stay until mid-morning on Tuesday, July 24. Throughout the four-day stay, attendees will be busy with the Chautauqua Network Annual Meeting, gatherings and other Lakeside Chautauqua experiences planned.
