Lighthouse Festival a Success Thanks to Volunteers

Posted on November 25, 2013

The 18th Annual Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival was an overall success thanks to the unusually warm weather, variety of family fun activities and more than 40 dedicated volunteers.

Lakeside Chautauqua welcomed thousands of guests for hayrides, live entertainment, farmers’ market, sailboat rides, arts & crafts vendors and much more. More than 260 children enjoyed making children’s crafts, including creative Halloween masks and necklaces.

There were more than 50 entrants in this year’s pumpkin-decorating contest. Congratulations to the following winners:

  • Most Creative Overall: “Lakeside Sundae” by Clay Curtis
  • Best Child Designs: “Shuffling with Grace and Kate” by Grace Johnson and “Sofia the First” by Mikaela Davala
  • Best Teen Design: “Castle” by Jazmyne Shoup
  • Best Lakeside Design: “Patio Donuts” by Jen and Ellie Eberly
  • Best Painted Design: “Pinocchio” by Jeremie Pesek
  • Best Use of Props: “There’s No Place Like Lakeside” Nicole Roth
