Spring Cleanup Day a True Community Effort

Posted on May 08, 2014

Lakeside Chautauqua welcomed springtime’s beautiful weather and returning Lakesiders on April 26 for the 9th Annual Spring Cleanup Day. More than 65 volunteers of all ages dedicated their time and effort to help beautify Lakeside.

Volunteers completed a variety of Lakeside improvement projects, including: gardening throughout the campus and Herb Garden; upkeep at Chautauqua Park, miniature golf course, Grindley Playground, lakefront and nature/walking trail; cleaning at Hoover Auditorium and Bradley Temple; preparation of the gates and Welcome Center; and other cleanup projects around the Administration Office.

We would like to thank the many volunteers who dedicated more than 260 hours to make Spring Cleanup Day a success. View pictures of this annual event on the Lakeside Chautauqua Facebook page.

Next year marks the 10th Annual Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 25. We are looking forward to an even larger turnout.
