Instructor Dana Mickens has worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for a variety of different fitness programs.

Water Aerobics
The buoyancy of water decreases stress on weight-bearing joints, making it easier and less painful to perform exercise. Because the effects of gravity are lessened, participants can move their joints through a wider range of motion and achieve greater flexibility in water. The water also provides an excellent source of resistance, allowing for muscle strengthening without the need of weights. This is not a swim class; participants do not need to know how to swim to participate, nor do they submerge heads underwater. Wear a swimsuit and sun visor. Water shoes are recommended but not required.

Wellness Seminars
These seminars are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, unless otherwise noted. Topics for all ages include children’s wellness, nutrition, healthy cooking and stress management.

Zumba with Shelby Stimmel
Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba classes are called exercise in disguise. Join instructor Shelby Stimmel for a calorie-burning dance fitness party.
