Join your Lakeside neighbors in collecting bottle caps as we work together to build a buddy bench! Made of recycled plastic, the buddy bench will reflect the true community spirit of Lakeside. We need 400 pounds of bottle caps to build a bench. Bring them when you come back to Lakeside this summer and be part of making the buddy bench a reality.

The drop-off locations will be at Bradley Temple and the MGM meeting place during the summer season. There will be painted bins at each location.

Youth & Young Adult Programs:

God Squad

Led by the Chip Richter and RPM Music, God Squad sessions include songs, crafts and lessons for children. Classes meet Tuesday-Thursday during the summer. Sessions are split into two age groups, ages 4-6 from 9-9:45 a.m. and ages 7-9 from 10-10:45 a.m. Classes are developed specifically for each age group to promote enjoyment and learning that is age appropriate. Children under age 4 must be accompanied by an adult. God Squad headquarters is Bradley Temple.

Middle Grade Madness (MGM)

Middle Grade Madness (MGM), under the leadership of Bonnie and John Wilkie, is a time for middle school youth, ages 10-14, to enjoy fellowship, fun and activity-based learning. MGM meets Monday-Thursday from 9:30 – 11 a.m. MGM headquarters is Cherry Park. For more information, read the weekly Lakesider newspaper. In the case of inclement weather, MGM will be held in the Upper Room.

Teen & Young Adult Ministries

Teen Ministry hosts opportunities for young adults 14-24. Our programs include praise services, evening discussion groups, recreational events and teen-themed nights throughout the summer. All are invited to the Monday evening teen praise worship service on the Jennings East Deck called PROMISES! based on the seven promises of Jesus. A special fellowship for young adults (ages 18-24) is offered on Tuesday evenings called Dinner Along the Trail that provides a meal and conversations about journeys of faith. Our Teen Ministry Leader is Bret Johnson. Look for a complete listing of activities in the weekly Lakesider newspaper and website.

2021 Family and Youth Fellowship has been supported by Bob and Becky Brymer.
