Faith for Living Hour

In addition to presenting the sermon at the 10:30 a.m. Hoover Community Worship service, each preacher leads Faith for Living Hour from 9-10 a.m. Monday-Thursday. A Faith for Living Hour Pass may be obtained, free-of-charge, between 8:30-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday; valid until 1 p.m. The Pass must be validated at the service and will be collected at the gate upon departure. If the pass is not validated, or if the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure. Ask a Gate Attendant for details. this pass does not allow access to Hoover Auditorium shows or the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus pool.

Vespers by the Lake

Sunset Vespers by the Lake, held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on the Pavilion West Deck and Vespers by the Lake, held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday on the Pavilion East Deck, offer an end of the day worship experience. The Preacher of the Week provides the message on Tuesday, while Thursday features a reflection on the Parable of Jesus, and the Eucharist is celebrated. Wednesday Family Picnics

Every Wednesday during the summer, all are welcome to gather in Perry Park for fellowship, games and an evening picnic. The picnic includes hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad, chips, watermelon and lemonade. There is no charge, but a $4 donation is suggested to offset the cost. Bring your own reusable tableware and a blanket.


Youth Programs

God Squad

Led by the Richter family, God Squad sessions include songs, crafts and lessons for children. Classes meet Tuesday-Thursday during the summer. Sessions are split into two age groups, ages 4-6 from 9-9:45 a.m. and ages 7-9 from 10-10:45 a.m. Classes are developed specifically for each age group to promote enjoyment and learning that is age appropriate. Middle Grade Madness

Middle Grade Madness (MGM), under the leadership of Bonnie and John Wilkie, is a time for middle school youth, ages 10-14, to enjoy fellowship, fun and activity-based learning. MGM meets Monday-Thursday. For more information, read the weekly Lakesider newspaper or download the app.

Teen Ministries
