There are a variety of worship celebrations every Sunday during the summer. Some are more casual than others, but all offer a wonderful spiritual experience to all who participate.


Dockside Worship

8:30 a.m. Sunday
Steele Memorial Bandstand

This informal worship service near water’s edge includes prayer requests, a variety of Christian hymns and contemporary songs, an inspiring message and the Sacrament of Holy Communion (with individual commercially packaged communion kits). Please note the change of location. While some seating is provided in Bettinger Park, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets and to practice safe social distancing. In the case of inclement weather, this service will be cancelled.

Lakeside United Methodist Church Worship

Sunday
The Lakeside United Methodist Church (UMC) will post a pre-recorded video of its worship service at lakesideohumc.com so that all may join in worship from their homes. Services are saved for four weeks.

LIVESTREAM: Community Worship Service

Livestream
This worship service welcomes a variety of spiritual leaders from around the world to preach. Worship is led by the Rev. Dr. Charlie Yoost, Lakeside's Director of Religious Life & Church Outreach. Preacher of the Week serves as guest preacher during the service. A link to the livestream will be available at lakesideohio.com/calendar or facebook.com/lakesideohio on the day of the event.

Sunset Vespers by the Lake

8:30 p.m. Sunday
Steele Memorial Bandstand

This service along the lake features praise music and traditional hymns. Coordinated by John and Bonnie Wilkie.Please note the change of location. While some seating is provided in Bettinger Park, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets and to practice safe social distancing. Vespers by the Lake

7:30 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday
Steele Memorial Bandstand

While practicing safe social distancing, visit Bettinger Park for an evening worship experience. The Preacher of the Week gives the message on Tuesday, while Thursday features reflection and Eucharist (with individual commercially packaged communion kits). Thursday's service is led by the Rev. Karen Graham, whose theme for the season will be "A Summer Fruit Basket of Faith," based on Galatians 5:22.

Although we cannot yet worship in-person, you can still make a special gift to the worship service through a virtual giving plate at lakesideohio.com/today.

Altar Flowers

Church Pass
A complimentary Church Pass may be obtained between 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday; valid until 1 p.m. The pass includes admittance for guests and auto. Passes must be validated at the church service. This pass does not allow access to Hoover Auditorium shows or the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus pool.

Faith for Living Hour Pass
A complimentary Faith for Living Hour Pass is available between 8:30-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday; valid until 1 p.m. The pass includes admittance for guests and auto. Passes must be validated at the service. This pass does not allow access to Hoover Auditorium shows or the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus pool.
